Pink Pussyhat Pin
On January 21, 2017, millions of women and men marched together in cities across the world to stand together for Women's rights. Many of those marchers were wearing pink "pussyhats"; a handmade (knitted, crocheted or sewn) hat with cat ears.
I was very proud to participate by crocheting hats for marchers to wear. The hats became a symbol of solidarity, to stand with each other and support each other in all the many issues we face. Weeks later, the hats are still being worn, in fact I'm still making them for friends and family.
I've designed these pins as a smaller symbol to proudly wear on a lapel or scarf or sun hat. As the weather gets warmer, our hats will be put away but the movement will continue.
Each piece is hand crocheted in pink yarn and measures roughly 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches. (some maybe larger or smaller) Each has a stainless steel pin back sew on securely.
All proceeds received from the sale of these pins will be donated to Planned Parenthood.
